Our Founding Vision

The Virendra Swarup Educational Foundation was established in 1989 by the late Dr. Nagendra Swarup in memory of his father, Dr. Virendra Swarup—a visionary committed to educational reform.
The Foundation continues to uphold this legacy by expanding access to quality education in underserved regions.
A Journey Rooted in Purpose
From One School to a Network of Opportunity
Starting with a single school in Kidwai Nagar, Kanpur in 1990, VSEC grew into a network of 10 schools across Kanpur, Unnao, and Farrukhabad. Each institution is strategically located to address the lack of quality education in emerging neighborhoods, reducing financial and logistical burdens for families.
Empowering Through Higher Education
Shaping Technocrats and Future Leaders
In 1998, the Foundation launched the Virendra Swarup Institute of Computer Studies—Kanpur’s first self-financed institute for MCA education. This was followed by the Virendra Swarup Institute of Professional Studies in 2005. Both institutes offer MCA, MBA, BCA, and BBA programs, fostering excellence in IT and management education.
